Aaron Douglas
Vice-President, Community Engagement
Aaron has been working in the human and social services field for over 20 years. He began his career in Toronto, and has worked in a variety of social service settings in the Niagara Region.. Aaron has a sound knowledge of community organizations and supports to assist you in managing your move. His experience and training allow him to calmly manage multiple priorities in any situation and to assist our clients more effectively.
Gay Douglas
Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist™ – President
Gay was widowed in 1986 when her children, Aaron and Shannon, were just 10 and 15 years of age. The next year she returned to school as an adult and earned a diploma as a Social Service Worker. Gay was hired directly from college into a leadership position. Over the years she’s managed numerous charitable organizations and created 2 successful businesses. In 2008 she earned her accreditation as a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist™ and co-founded Niagara’s first move management company.
For the last 9 years, Gay has attended every annual conference of the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM), sharpening her skills and sharing her expertise as a workshop presenter. In addition to her work in move management Gay has worked as a business consultant and adult educator at Niagara College, teaching planning, communications and human resources management. For the past 20 years Gay has facilitated a network of government-funded adult education programs with a focus on planning and service coordination.
Shannon Douglas
Vice-President, Client Services
Since 1997, Shannon has dedicated her career to working with older adults, providing recreation and therapeutic support to individuals living in a variety of residential settings. She has professional training in palliative care, gerontology and fitness. Shannon’s wholistic approach, compassion and commitment to excellence helps Trustworthy Transitions build supportive relationships with our clients.
